St. Edward’s University is a beautiful liberal arts university in Austin, TX and had an established sense of its mission and brand. Workshopping their needs and goals revealed that the marketing team already possessed a robust enrollment marketing strategy, but had outgrown the current website’s ability to do the kind of storytelling they wanted to do.

Bringing six schools into the brand platform

Our first workshops with faculty and the VP for Academic Affairs revealed another challenge: St. Edward’s was beginning an initiative to enhance the academic reputation of the university and hoped the new website would give this initiative a push. One of our recommendations was to create a higher profile for the 6 Schools within the university by launching school microsites.

Execution and results

The school microsites were conceived and designed to feature School-specific academic content shared with the university website. We balanced the needs of each school to speak with a genuine voice that communicated their individual mission while simultaneously expressing the voice of the larger university.
